Resizable palette buttons with fly out capabilities (matching those of other adobe apps) Single and dual monitor users can benefit from this change.
You can reduce the buttons to a tiny size, or you can tear off the palettes and park them around your screen, as with previous photoshop versions.
You can arrange buttons in 1 or 2 columns and choose only the ones you want.  The software's redesigned setup makes using the palettes easier.

A real nice tool is the Quick selection tool. Check it out when you get a chance.. CS2 users can download a free trial before buying it for around $649.

I just purchased photoshop CS3 extended. Interface is great, but CS3 is much more than a pretty interface .. The new PS CS3 comes in 2 versions, regular CS3 and CS3 EXTENDED. In the extended version you are now allowed to edit your own 3D objects. This is great for 3D modelers who want to do more to their creation. Another great new feature that CS3 extended has is Movie Paint. Movie paint lets you enhance video files directly within CS3E. It allows you to paint, add text or clone over frames. With this new release, Adobe has done away with Image Ready, you can now make your animated gif's in photoshop the same way they were created with IR.

Ill be talking more about CS3 in the next few weeks as I pick up apart this new beautiful beast.

You can purchase regular CS3 for $649 or CS3 Extended for $999
